4th of July Parade 2019

4th of july Parade 2019

The Carmichael Improvement District is thrilled to help sponsor the 61st annual Elks Lodge 4th of July Parade. Since 1959, Carmichael has celebrated our country's birthday with a parade and celebration. Over 1,000 participants march, ride, and float along the two-mile parade route, with nearly 20,000 people annually watching.

This year's theme, "Honoring American Service," will feature groups that display the patriotic spirit that ties all Americans together. The Elks Lodge hosts, with parade Grand Marshall Barbara Safford. Don't miss the Carmichael Improvement District close to the front of the parade behind the Grand Marshall with candy and American flags to hand out.

The parade kicks off at the corner of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Marconi at 10:30 AM and ends at the Elks Lodge at 5631 Cypress Avenue. The parade takes about 30 minutes from start to finish, so you can expect a good time; with free swimming, dancing with a live band, kids games, and a BBQ to follow at the Elks Lodge.

Fireworks from Carmichael Parks District will start at 9:30 pm at the La Sierra Community Center off Engle Road.

We can't wait to see you out there! Please don't hesitate to greet our Executive Director, Rachael, and many of our board members and vendors walking in the parade for the district.
