MISSION:  The CID District exists to render services (Safe and Clean) and add value (Beautification, Communication, and Economic Development) to the Owners of properties and Businesses within its Carmichael service area. 

VISION:  The CID’s expectation, as an Owner's Association, is to lead the transformation of Carmichael into a prosperous, desirable, and an engaged community.

Operating subject to the Ralph M. Brown Act and the California Public Records Act, meetings are open to the public with agendas, materials, and minutes to be found on this page.  Material for current and prior meetings of the year are linked to the dates below:


Brown Act Notice: Government Code 54950 (The Brown Act) requires that a brief description of each item to be transacted or discussed be posted at least 72 hours prior to a regular meeting. Action may not be taken on items not posted on the agenda.

COMMITTEES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Security & Maintenance 

The Security & Maintenance Task Force Committee works closely with joint law enforcement agencies to increase security and reduce property crime & trash throughout the CID service area; reviews statistics of crime & maintenance trends; discusses code violations such as non-compliant signage, illegal vendors, neglect, property condition, and blight that can attract loitering and crime, etc., and educates the owner community on crime prevention on properties through workshops and direct contact, called C.P.T.E.D. (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design). Further, this committee helps contract security & maintenance teams address situations in developing awareness of chronic “hot spots” and helps evaluate the overall effectiveness of service delivery.

Executive committee

The management committee of Carmichael Improvement District officers and other appointed directors, as needed, who are engaged in evaluating mission effectiveness and supporting the Board of Directors in policy guidance and objective advice and guidance. The Executive Committee generally meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 2:30 PM unless noted otherwise.

Development & Advancement (DAC)

This committee seeks ways to best position Carmichael, so it enjoys increased economic growth and vitality. The committee reviews area land use and planning entitlement applications in relation to the district's goals and objectives. The goals of this committee are to attract resources and experts in order to ensure economic betterment for the ownership community within the Carmichael Improvement District's service area.  This committee is generally held on the 2nd Monday of every other month at 11:30 AM to accommodate for lunch with the meeting, which is not provided. We kindly ask that you please patronize the restaurant and purchase your meal, although that is not a requirement of attendance.

Outreach & Communication

The Outreach Committee cultivates and develops communication and enduring, productive relationships with our assessment payers, their business associates, and the greater community. This committee helps develop messaging to effectively communicate the organization's goals and objectives to the greater Carmichael area. A focal point for event and meeting planning for the district. Meetings occur on the 2nd Monday of every other month at the location noted below, generally at 9:30 AM, please check the agenda.
